Impressed by by President-elect Joe Biden‘s victory speech on Saturday, Lana Del Rey shared a cover of the 1970s hymn “On Eagle’s Wings,” written by Michael Joncas.
In his first speech as president-elect, Biden shared some inspiring words from the song.
The former Vice President said, “It captures the faith that sustains me and which I believe sustains America.”
The singer-songwriter found some time to take to social media while she was in the middle of recording her forthcoming album.
“As promised we are getting a head start on that album of standard folk songs and all things Americana. But we took a break to watch the Biden speech and he mentioned at the end of it (the) hymn that he hoped gave Americans hope so I thought I would just give a little version of that as we took a break in the studio,” Del Rey wrote on Instagram.
The release of Del Rey’s new studio album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, has been delayed due to vinyl production issues.
