Helen and Paul race to escape from latest I’m a Celeb trial
Paul Burrell, 64, is currently sharing his living space with a variety of critters and creepy crawlies on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…South Africa.
Indeed, viewers tonight will watch as he and Helen Flanagan race to escape from their latest critter-filled Trial.
However, since the show is pre-recorded, former royal Butler Paul is actually back in the UK enjoying his home comforts at present.
He welcomed OK! magazine into his spacious Cheshire home for a tour and his abode reflects his passion for the monarchy.
The Tudor-style pad is packed to the brim with mementos you won’t see anywhere else.
Amongst his treasures are gifts given to him by the late Princess Diana, a framed piece of her wedding cake, a stuffed toy corgi, a signed picture of the late Princess of Wales and photos of his first I’m A Celebrity stint.
Paul has shared the beautiful home with his husband Graham Cooper for a decade.
The red-brick house with Tudor-style beams, has a spacious garden with a pond, and a seating area where the couple can sit and reflect on life.
“This house is an amazing house,” Paul said of the dwelling.
“And we’re very, very fortunate to live where we do,” he admitted to the magazine.

“I’ve only lived here for about 10 years since I’ve known my husband ‘Coop’, but now this is my home as much as his.”
In a video of the grand tour which accompanies the article, Paul held up a framed piece of cake from Diana’s wedding to Charles in 1981, which he never ate.
He also shows off a photo of the late royal taken by Lord Snowdon and signed by him.
Another treasure on display is a signed photo of the Queen and Prince Phillip, given by the monarch when he left to join Charles and Diana’s household in 1987.
He also revealed some of the gifts given to him by Diana, who died in 1997, such as cufflinks and a small silver dish for Christmas.
Poignantly the former Royal Butler has kept letters Diana wrote to him and revealed the contents of one.
Reading the Princess’ words aloud he said: “I so want the monarchy to survive and realise the changes that will take to put ‘the show’ on a new and healthy track.”
He also revealed another section of the letter in which Diana discussed her love for her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
The touching segment reads: “I am here to support Mama [the Queen] and to bring W + H [William and Harry] up in order to cope with the fast-changing world we live in.
“I love my boys to death and hope that the seeds I’ve planted will grow and bring the strength, knowledge and stability that is needed.”
