Fans call for Emily Atack to become a Celebrity Juice team captain opposite Holly Willoughby… after Fearne Cotton announces she is quitting the show

Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! runner-up Emily Atack have called for her to replace Fearne Cotton on Celebrity Juice.

Fearne announced on Monday that, after 10 years as a team captain on the show opposite her best pal Holly Willoughby, she will be standing down to focus on other projects.

And despite fans reacting with remorse about the decision, some believed they had already pinpointed the best person to fill her empty seat.

‘I think only @EmAtack could replace Fearne!’ one fan of the comedy panel show tweeted on Tuesday.

‘Get Emily to replace Fearne on @CelebJuice she would be PERFECT,’ another agreed, as someone else posted: ‘Aww will miss you Fearne… thank you for all the laughs and giggles over the years. I reckon @EmAtack would make a good replacement… what d’ya reckon @lemontwittor?’

Fearne honoured her ten year stint on Keith Lemon’s ITV2 show with an emotional social media post the day after the announcement was made that she is leaving. 

Taking to Instagram, the TV and radio presenter announced in a post that she was leaving the show with a ‘ton of amazing memories’.

She also posted images from her time on the series, including snaps of her kissing host Keith on the cheek, as well as shots of her and Holly playing games on the show, which has now run for 20 series.

She penned in the caption: ‘After ten incredible years I am leaving celebrity juice. I walk away with a ton of amazing memories and will miss working with the brilliant team on camera and behind the scenes. So much love and luck to them all on future series #nostrils.’

Holly paid tribute to Fearne as it was announced she would be leaving, saying that it has been a ‘joy’ to be part of the ‘magnificent show’.

This Morning presenter Holly shared a sweet post to mark her exit, thanking her pal for giving her ’10 years of laughter’. 

Alongside a screen grab of the pair eating a banana together, Holly wrote:  ‘I’m going to miss you being on the other side of my banana… thank you for 10 years of laughter…

‘love you @fearnecotton … we are going to MISS you on @celebjuiceofficial SOOO much xxxx’.

Keith Lemon also paid tribute to Fearne, jokingly calling her ‘Holly’ as he shared a montage of the pair together.

Meanwhile, Emily appeared on Loose Women, where she left viewers in hysterics – already proving she’s a dab hand on a panel show.

The 29-year-old dressed up as Ruth Langsford ahead of her appearance on the chat show on Monday, donning a cropped blonde wig, bearing a striking resemblance to the presenter, 58.
