During a Zoom engagement this week, the Duchess of Cambridge opened up about homeschooling in the pandemic, and revealed who her biggest supporter has been throughout the United Kingdom’s multiple lockdowns.
Speaking to parents whose children attend Roe Green Junior School in Brent, England, Kate Middleton said, “I know how challenging it is juggling work, home life, school life and everything else that you as parents are doing, so really well done.”
For the encouraging call, the duchess wore a Massimo Dutti moss green jacket, which she paired with a ribbed green top underneath. She accessorized the chic look with her Daniella Draper necklace, which reportedly features the initials of her three children, as well as a pair of the designer’s “cupid” hoops, per Hello! magazine.
As usual, Kate looked smart and stylish for the virtual engagement.
When asked to reveal the person who’d been her biggest supporter throughout the pandemic, Duchess Kate adorably wrote her husband Prince William’s name. She also described parenting during lockdown as “exhausting,” and explained, “I think as parents you have the day to day elements of being a parent but I suppose during lockdown we have had to take on additional roles that I suppose others in our communities of in our lives would have perhaps supported us with.”

Duchess Kate continued, “Fingers crossed, let’s hope for the positivity as you’ve all been saying. Make sure everyone looks after themselves—it’s very hard to prioritize but it’s definitely needed now more than ever.”
