Demi Lovato identifies as pansexual, plus more news
Demi Lovato seems to have confirmed she’s pansexual in new interview

In recent months, Demi Lovato’s revealed she identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. She told InStyle she feels “super fluid” when it comes to who she’s attracted to. And in an interview with EW, she discussed coming to terms with being “queer” as she got older. In a new chat with Joe Rogan for the latest edition of his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the 28-year-old singer seemed to go one step further by confirming she identifies as pansexual. The topic came up after Joe asked if Demi saw herself getting married and becoming a mom at some point. “In this moment I want to adopt [children] for sure,” she said, according to “I also don’t know if I’m going to end up with a guy, so I can’t really see myself even getting pregnant.” She went on to explain that she feels “so fluid now,” partly because she was “super closeted off” while growing up in a religious household. To clarify, Joe asked if Demi meant, “sexually fluid, [as in] … you like girls, you like boys?” Said Demi, “Yeah, anything, really.” Joe waded in once more, asking, “What do they call that … ‘pansexual?‘” and Demi replied, “Yeah, pansexual. [I like] anything, really.” She added, “I heard someone call the LGBTQIA+ community the alphabet mafia … That’s it! That’s what I’m going with. I’m part of the alphabet mafia and proud.” According to GLAAD’s website, “being pansexual means being attracted to all gender identities, or attracted to people regardless of gender.” Demi later elaborated on how her upbringing affected her understanding of her own sexuality, explaining, “I felt a lot of shame because growing up in Texas as a Christian, that’s very frowned upon. Any attraction that I ever had toward a female at a young age, I shut it down before I even let myself process what I was feeling.”

Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz turn the NAACP Image Awards into date night

After a week-long virtual celebration of outstanding Black performances in film, television, music and literature, the 2021 NAACP Image Awards wrapped up with a live ceremony for the final honors on Saturday night. Alicia Keys and her husband, Swizz Beatz, were tasked with presenting the entertainer of the year award, which went to D-Nice, but the couple also used the occasion as an excuse for a date night — a rare treat after a year of pandemic-mandated lockdowns. Before leaving for the awards, Alicia posed for a few snaps at home in a gorgeous, black bodycon dress that featured an elegant gold buckle at the front, beneath a black, ribbed bodice. “Haven’t been dressed up in awhile but loving these cute date vibes with my 👑 @therealswizzz for the illustrious @naacpimageawards tonight,” the singer captioned the shots on Instagram. “I still like my sneakers better 🤣🤣. Who can feel me?😘😘😘,” she added. ⁣Janelle Monae, Naomi Campbell and Padma Lakshmi were among the famous friends who commented on the post, leaving heart and fire emojis to show their love. Swizz — who Alicia congratulated at the bottom of the post for the Outstanding Variety Show he and Timbaland won last week for their wildly popular “Verzuz” battles series — chimed in, too. “Let me get dressed damn we stepping out tonight 😍😍😍😍😍😍,” he teased. A second post showed Alicia and Swizz looking radiant in the backseat of a luxury car while holding hands on their way to the awards. “My ride or die 🥰🥰🥰,” Alicia wrote. She and Swizz met as teenagers long before they began dating. They eventually fell in love and said “I do” in 2010 before welcoming sons Egypt and Genesis.

Gwyneth Paltrow sends newly single Kim Kardashian a custom Goop ‘box of tricks’

Kim Kardashian West might be feeling a little out of practice as she returns to single life amid her divorce from Kanye West. We’re guessing that’s why Gwyneth Paltrow opted to send her pal a little Goop gift box of pick-me-ups curated with the life of a single lady in mind. As Kim revealed on her Instagram Stories over the weekend (per Yahoo), Gwyneth’s gift came in a box labeled “Kim’s box of tricks.” Inside, Kim was apparently delighted to find a wand-shaped toy, two bottles of lubricant and a candle that, at least according to its label, was crafted to “smell like Kim’s” very own climax. Over the top? Maybe. But Kim didn’t seem to mind. “Never been more excited honestly… for, the candle,” she wrote on her Story. “Thank you Gwyneth, I love you,” she added. “Thanks Goop.” Gwyneth shared the post to her own account, writing, “love you more @kimkardashian.” Kim filed for divorce from Kanye last month after six years of marriage.

Lindsay Lohan is releasing a new single as an NFT

Goodbye, Spotify, hello … NFT auction? Lindsay Lohan is releasing her first song since 2020’s “Back To Me.” This time, though, she’s going the NFT auction route — and she’s already getting pretty impressive bids for the music. The song is called “Lullabye” and it’s being auctioned by the platform, FansForever, which as of Monday afternoon showed the highest bid hovering at 500,000 TRX or about $32,000. So why is anyone buying — or for that matter selling — one song for that much money? According to, “an NFT, or non-fungible token, is a digital asset whose authenticity has been certified on a blockchain. The term ‘non-fungible’ translates to one of a kind; in other words, an NFT is a unique asset that cannot be replaced. Think of it like this: If you own the original painting ‘The Old Guitarist’ by Picasso, only you can own it. Other people can own a print, but only one person can possess the original.” Lindsay, along with Kings of Leon, Gorillaz, Grimes and others, have been going with the NFT format because they stand to earn more for their work while protecting their intellectual property in a way that traditional music publishing contracts can’t. Lindsay’s “Lullabye” is described on FansForever as “a never before experience” that features “a message of empowerment, a signal out to the world to embrace the beauty that nature has blessed us all uniquely with.” Says Lindsay: “I have been recording music for a long time now. I feel a calmness when I go to the studio and it is a sort of solitude. A comfort zone. This song really means something to me because we all grow up with lullabies and I wanted to create one of my own. My voice to your ears … Lullaby.” Bidding on “Lullabye” ends Thursday.

Brad Pitt ‘did 95 percent’ of his own stunts on ‘Bullet Train’ after winning an Oscar for playing a stunt double

It seems stuntman Cliff Booth — the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood …” character that led Brad Pitt to his first Academy Award last year — still has a piece of Brad’s heart … or is that fists? According to the stunt coordinator for Brad’s upcoming action-thriller “Bullet Train,” the 57-year-old star did most of his own stunts while playing a hitman named Ladybug in the movie, an adaptation of Kotaro Isaka’snovel, “Maria Beetle.” “Brad did 95 percent of his physical stunts — the fighting,” Greg Rementer tells Vulture. “He’s like a natural-born athlete. He really got in there!” Given the premise – a group of hitmen, “each with a competing agenda,” board the same train, according to Vulture — that’s probably no small amount of fighting. “Bullet Train” also stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Bad Bunny, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Masi Oka and Andrew Koji. A release has yet to be announced.

Nike sues the maker of Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoe’

The Lil Nas X Satan sneaker saga is headed to court. TMZ reported Monday that Nike is now suing MSCHF Product Studio, the makers of the rapper’s “Satan Shoes,” on grounds the Nas X shoes appear to have been bought from Nike, then modified with Satanic references including a pentagram, a biblical reference to Satan’s fall from Heaven and a drop of human blood and put back on the market for more money. Nike claims consumers have no way to know the company has nothing to do with the shoes, which feature the famous swoosh label on each of the 666 limited-edition pairs. Nike wants sales of the shoes to be barred. The whole thing started after Lil Nas X released the track and video, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The video shows Nas X sharing a smooch with a snake with a man’s head before he descends down a pole to Satan’s kingdom, which he promptly takes over. Social media was already going crazy after the video was released last week. Then, Nas X revealed his new collaboration project to create the Satan Shoe — which are very clearly tweaked Nike Air Max 97s. It hasn’t helped matters that the rapper has indicated on Twitter that he finds the whole controversy hilarious …

How Hollywood’s working to #StopAsianHate

During an appearance on last week’s “Gayle King in the House” on SiriusXM, Olivia Munn praised thework journalist Lisa Ling has been doing to raise awareness about the surge in violence against people of Asian descent in the United States, particularly after the spa shootings in Atlanta earlier this month. Over the weekend, the CNN host joined thousands of protesters across the country in speaking out against hate and violence directed at Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders as part of the National Day of Action to support the #StopAianHate campaign. Addressing a crowd at the unity rally in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles on Saturday, Lisa referenced America’s long history of anti-Asian discrimination, then urged her fellow protesters to promise to support the people beside them. “We have been rounded up and put in camps. We have been attacked, and we have been killed. But something so powerful is happening right now,” she said, according to Variety. “We are part of this incredible tapestry with stories and histories from every corner of the globe. And if one thread comes loose we can all fall apart. So we have to protect each other.” She then asked everyone to, “find someone you don’t know in this crowd and look them in the eyes and say, ‘I will protect you. Please protect me.'” She added, “If we keep our threads, if we maintain these threads and make sure they are unbroken, we can get past all of this and really rise up together to Stop Asian Hate and to stop all hate.” The Day of Action comes as Hollywood talent agency CAA is preparing to stage a virtual “Amplify Town Hall” on Thursday, April 1. Lisa, along with actors Kelly Marie Tran, Ashley Park, Alan Kim, singer-songwriter H.E.R., figure skater Michelle Kwan and more celebs are expected to address the latest surge in anti-Asian hate and violence on panels and in group conversations during the 90-minute event, which is free and open to the public but requires registration, according to THR. Over the weekend, Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion shared that she was “heartbroken” about the recent killings in Atlanta and pledged $50,000 to the nonprofit legal advocacy group Advancing Justice Atlanta.

New dad Frankie Muniz is ‘1000% obsessed with’ his 1-week-old son

One week after the birth of his first son, Frankie Muniz is still overcome with emotion. The “Malcolm in the Middle” alum initially told fans and followers on his Instagram Stories last week that his wife, Paige, had given birth. He shared a longer update a few days later on Instagram, revealing that the couple’s new addition is named Mauz Mosley Muniz and “was born on March 22 at 11:15 AM.” He went to explain how he knew right away that his “life changed forever” when Mauz was born. “Honestly, I didn’t know it was possible to love anything as much as I love him,” he gushed. “It took me a long time to post because I’ve been 1000% obsessed with him, already striving to make every moment he lives on earth the best it can possibly be.” Frankie continued, “I found myself very emotional the other day as I pondered how lucky I was to have the most incredible wife and now the most amazing child and thought how all I want from now on is to make the world a better place, for them.” He closed by joking — maybe — that he’s decided to “give up my motorcycles and stick with listening to K-LOVE on the radio while driving the speed limit,” then added an “I love you” to his wife and their new son.”
