Danielle Lloyd ‘in agony’ as she faces possibly having a caesarean for baby daughter

Danielle Lloyd can't contain her excitement over welcoming her first daughter in the coming weeks with her husband Michael O'Neill.

In this week's OK! column, the 37 year old discusses her plans for her baby shower and reveals why she admires Stacey Solomon for being "so brave"…

Hey everyone!

I hope you all have had a good week. I’m doing okay at the moment. We had a really nice weekend as a family. Michael and I managed to get some proper time on our own, which was so needed! We all went to watch the new Bond movie, No Time To Die, which was unbelievable. It was definitely the best Bond film out of all of them. I was in tears at the end and Michael was looking at me and he said, ‘What the hell?’ I think it’s the hormones talking!

We then went to London on Saturday for what feels like the first time in forever. I haven’t really been feeling up to leaving the house or doing anything major at the moment. It’s hard when you’re pregnant because you have days where all you want to do is stay in the house.

But I thought, “Come on, let’s spend some time together before the baby comes.” So, I got dressed up and we went on a date! We decided to have dinner at Salt Bae’s restaurant Nusr-Et in Knightsbridge. It was so good, but it was really expensive. It was all about the experience, really!

This week has been busy, but there’s no change there. Even though we went to London, we had to get back at a good time to make sure I was up for eight o’clock on Sunday to take the boys to football. It’s honestly so manic all the time. I’m still in quite a lot of pain from my back.

It hasn’t got any better since last week, I’m in so much agony. I’ve been speaking to my consultant this week and they want me to have some physiotherapy to see if that helps with the pain, and then they want me to have some scans to have a look at it properly.

However, they said if the pain persists, they will take me in and the baby will be delivered early. It makes me feel nervous because I don’t want to be induced or have a Caesarean. So, I’m praying that the physio will help relieve the pain and it will get better, but we will have to wait and see.

My Braxton Hicks contractions have been getting much stronger now. I have to go for a glucose test soon because when I was pregnant with Ronnie, I was on the cusp of having gestational diabetes. So, they want to keep an eye on me and see how I am.

All my babies have been massive and I’ve got diabetes in my family, so it’s definitely something they need to keep an eye on. My best friend had her baby boy this week. She had a horrendous birth and it started to panic me a bit. She’s doing absolutely amazing now, though. I can’t wait to meet him next week and have a little cuddle.

We are all really excited now. I’ve started to get on top of everything this week. The cot is set up downstairs and the baby chair was delivered the other day, too. It feels like she will be here before we know it. I’ve also got my baby shower next weekend, which I am so excited about. I went shopping for a dress and I found something really nice to wear, but I’ll obviously have to wear my flats! I really hope my back doesn’t play up, so I’m going to lie in bed all day on Monday and relax.

I’ve had baby showers for most of my pregnancies, and because this will be an extra special celebration, I’ve invited 40 of my friends. Any excuse for a party!

It will be so nice to catch-up with them all properly in person after the past year and a half. I haven’t seen hardly any of my friends for such a long time, so I can’t wait. I’m not sure whether they have any surprises in store for me, but there will be plenty of food and drink and a DJ. Woo!

During pregnancy, it’s completely normal to feel restless when you're trying to get to sleep when you have so much going on in your head. Recently, I’ve been using Better You’s Magnesium Sleep Body Spray. This is what helps my restless legs at night. I spray it on my feet and it is honestly magic. It helps me have a good night’s sleep without fail, I swear by it!

Stacey Solomon is now a mother to a little girl now – she’s so cute! Just seeing her announcement has made me so much more excited to have a daughter in our family. I can’t wait for her to arrive. Stacey is so brave having her baby at home, though. I don’t know if I could do that.

I would be like, “Get me to the hospital!” I also feel my kids would be traumatised. But home births are really special because when you do give birth in hospital, all you want to do is get back home.

I thought her video was lovely, and it’s definitely nice to have that to look back on forever. I really admire Stacey for sharing something so personal with the world. I have a video from when I had Ronnie, but I definitely wouldn’t share it with anyone… It was quite brutal. It would put people off having children!

See you next week.
