The Chase’s Anne Hegerty has suggested she could quit TV for good.
The professional quizzer, nicknamed The Governess on the ITV show, says that not a day goes by when she doesn’t consider giving up her life in the spotlight.
Anne, who also appeared on the last series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, says that she finds things a bit overwhelming sometimes.
She told the Daily Star : "My schedule has gone bonkers and I find it overwhelming most of the time.
"Not a day goes by that I don’t think it would be cool to retire."
However, Anne, who has Asperger’s, said that the structure and routine of her TV work had a positive impact on her life.
She said: "Before The Chase came into my life I was very demoralised. I was a proofreader working from home, but because I’m autistic I found it difficult to get organised and so I was losing work."
Meanwhile, Anne recently revealed the reason she’d stopped looking for love.
The 60-year-old told The Sun on Sunday : "I find relationships a struggle because of my need to have a lot of space to myself so it’s not something that I’m pursuing right now.
"I meet people who would quite clearly like to take it further but I’ve been around the block enough times to realise you know I’m not actually very good at this."
She added: "I’ll get into a relationship and then get very passive-aggressive."
