Annabelle Doll Isn’t Actually Missing Despite Reports She Escaped Museum

Good news everyone, Annabelle didn’t go missing from her home at the Occult Museum in Connecticut.

Tony Spera, the son-in-law of famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, confirmed that the infamous doll was still in her glass enclosure, despite rumors that she had escaped.

“I’m here to tell you something, I don’t know if you want to hear this or not, but Annabelle did not escape,” he shared in a video update. “Annabelle’s alive — well, I shouldn’t say alive — Annabelle’s here, in all her infamous glory. She never left the museum.”

Rumors swirled after fans noticed that someone had wrote on her Wikipedia page that Annabelle had “escaped on Aug. 14 at 3 a.m.”

In the video, Tony also poked fun at the guesses of where she had gone.

“Annabelle’s here. She didn’t go anywhere. She didn’t take a trip. She didn’t fly first class and she didn’t go out to visit her boyfriend,” he added. “So here she is. Let’s put the rumors to rest, guys. I appreciate all the concern. I’d be concerned if Annabelle really did leave because she’s nothing to play with.”

If you don’t know, Annabelle is a doll that is reportedly possessed by a young girl of the same name. A nursing student, who was gifted the doll in 1970, tried to take care of the doll with her roommate, but in turn, was greeted with spiteful and vengeful pranks and acts towards them both.

The doll is the inspiration for many horror movies, including Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation and Annabelle Comes Home.
