Now, having overcome her demons, she’s striving to be a positive role model for young girls and has spoken out about the importance of self-love on her social media channels. In a 2017 Twitter post, she wrote, “Self love and vanity are not the same. Dove Cameron revealed her skincare secrets

Considering Dove Cameron’s fame, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the actress and recording artist takes pride in maintaining a “rigorous” skincare routine to ensure she’s always camera-ready. Cameron recently shared her beauty secrets with Vogue, disclosing that she relies on a handful of products and a unique facial technique to achieve her signature healthy glow.

After starting her morning skincare regime with a Shu Uemura cleanser, Cameron applies her favorite Barbara Sturm hyaluronic serum to clean skin. “I rave about this stuff,” she told Vogue, explaining that it brightens her complexion and boosts her skin’s glow. She follows up with a second serum and a vitamin E oil for added moisture. After applying her serums and oils, she gently slaps the skin all over her face to promote absorption and boost circulation. She learned this seemingly strange method from an ex-esthetician, she explained.

Next, Cameron applies her favorite moisturizer, Weleda Skin Food. “It gives me such a nice glow underneath my makeup,” she told Vogue. Afterward, she applies an eye cream from Beautycounter and a Barbara Sturm lip balm. Favorite products aside, Cameron has another top tip for glowing skin: Drink water! She told Vogue, “I feel like if I don’t have loads and loads of water, I can definitely see it in my skin.”
