A man has been arrested after allegedly chopping up his mate’s body and flushing it down the toilet following a row.
Pintu Sharma, 42, reportedly told police he "panicked" when friend Ganesh Kolhadkar died after falling badly from a push during a fight.
According to the Times of India, the pair had been rowing over a financial dispute.
It is not clear why the suspect had gone to the victim’s flat in Mumbai, India.
He is then claimed to used a hacksaw to chop the bridegroom’s body into 200 small pieces.
He is then accused of flushing the smaller pieces down the victim’s toilet, while allegedly disposing of the larger ones out of a train window.
Police were called when cleaners for the block of flats discovered the blockage.
Deputy Superintendent Jayant Bajbale told local media over over 30 kilograms of flesh had been recovered from the buildings septic tank and water run-off system.
He said the remains had been sent for tests.
