James Jordan’s Dancing On Ice victory hopes in doubt after brutal injury

James Jordan’s hopes of being Dancing On Ice champion have taken a serious dent after a brutal injury.

Instead of spending his precious last few hours on the ice, James has been in the medical room trying to get back to fitness.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star came crashing down onto the ice during a training session on Saturday – just one day before tonight’s live final.

James fell on his arm in rehearsals, which resulted in a painful subluxed shoulder, meaning he was forced off the ice.

As a result he unfortunately wasn’t able to skate during one of the camera rehearsals today.

In pictures from the medical room, James can be seen grimacing as he holds his injured shoulder.

The incredible physios have managed to get James back in fighting shape.

The professional dancer took his shirt off for a massage to help him recover.

The good news is that James will be skating in tonight’s final with partner Alexandra Schauman.

James is not the only one who has been in the wars this week.

His rival Wes Nelson had a nasty wrist injury during training that left him in agony.

In snaps of the incident, Wes can be seen leaning forwards and grabbing his wrist as his skating partner Vanessa Bauer rushes over to him.

He is later snapped looking uncomfortable in the physio’s room while a bandage is applied to his injury.

Will the injuries have an influence on the result?

*Dancing On Ice airs tonight on ITV at 6pm
