Dancing On Ice star Wes Nelson broke down in tears on tonight’s Dancing On Ice over his ex Megan Barton-Hanson.
The 20-year-old got very emotional while revealing the reason behind this week’s song choice – ‘Never Too Much’ by Luther Vandross.
The Love Island hunk explained this was his parents’ wedding song, then broke down in tears as he spoke about his ‘love’ for Megan.
Wes opened up on his "difficult" split from Megan, which happened during the series, in heartbreaking scenes.
He said: "Me and Megs we had a really, really good bond and it makes me upset now to talk about it but it isn’t great, and it was really, really difficult at the time."
"Oh no I’m getting upset now," added emotional Wes as he fell forward and put his hands to his face.
The reality TV star then wiped away the tears with a tissue in the pre-recorded clip.
He explained the reason behind the song choice and thanked his parents, who were in the audience, for their support.
Wes said: "It’s my parents wedding song. My mum and dad genuinely mean the absolute world to me.
"I can’t even thank them enough for how much they’ve done for me. It’s a big thank you to them really.
"I think my mum and dad completely personify the word ‘love.’ Of course I’ve experienced love but I’d love to love like my parents do."
Dancing On Ice viewers took to Twitter after watching the emotional moment.
One viewer said: "Aww Wes you made me cry"
Another added: "Ah bless Wes talking about Megan. I hope that she can see that he clearly loves her & Vanessa is just a dance partner & nothing else"
A third said: "I actually feel for Wes there not wanting to talk about him an meg. I know the feeling"
Wes and professional partner Vanessa Bauer got a score of 36 for their second routine.
He incorporated some of his parents’ dance moves into his performance.
*Dancing On Ice airs Sundays on ITV at 6pm
