ENGLAND play New Zealand in a Cricket World Cup final that will see a new name engraved on the trophy at Lords.

The Black Caps saw off India in the semi-finals, while England were crushing winners over old rivals Australia as both look to win the competition for the first time.

The final will takes place TODAY.

It begins at 10.45am, with the start having been pushed back 15 minutes due to rain.

Lord's Cricket Ground will play host to this year's finalists.

What TV channel is it on and can I live stream it?

Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Cricket with coverage underway from 9am.

Can I watch the Cricket World Cup final for free?

Yes. Sky bosses have revealed they will allow the final to be shown on free-to-air television if England get there.

Free coverage will be shown on Channel 4 and More4.

Channel 4 will show the match before and after the British Grand Prix, with coverage switching to More4 during the race at Silverstone.

Channel 4 CEO Alex Mahon said: “This is fantastic news for cricket fans and the nation.

“This Sunday is a massive day for British sport with England tantalisingly close to lifting the Cricket World Cup for the first time and Lewis Hamilton setting his sights on his seventh season win at Silverstone – all live on Channel 4.

“The big winners of this strong partnership between Channel 4 and Sky are sports fans and viewers who want to come together for these big sporting occasions.”

Sky UK and Ireland Chief Executive Stephen van Rooyen added: “England in the Final on home soil is a huge moment for sport in this country and we are proud to be the host broadcaster.

“Thanks to our strong relationship with Channel 4, we are partnering to make the game available to everyone, so the whole country can get behind England, and be part of a special national sporting event.”

Channel 4 will carry Sky’s coverage of the cricket final from 9am. Cricket coverage moves to More 4 at 1.15pm while the British Grand Prix airs on Channel 4 with the cricket returning to Channel 4 after the race has finished.

Live coverage from Lord’s will also be available on Sky One.

Can I still get tickets?

Tickets are, unsurprisingly, very scarce with the Cricket World Cup website completely sold out.

StubHub still have some available but are very limited and will empty your bank balance.

The cheapest available will set you back £729, but these go up to a whopping £206,550 – yet this is most likely an error with a seat in a similar area going for £16,584.
