A lawyer is suing Rich the Kid for allegedly leaking her cell phone number online.
Maro Burunsuzyan is suing the rapper for invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress after she claims he leaked her cell phone number on social media earlier this year, according to court docs obtained by The Blast.
In the lawsuit, Burunsuzyan claims that Rich the Kid got her number after she represented a client who was suing the rapper in January for allegedly not paying rent and damaging the Los Angeles home he was living in.
Shortly the lawsuit was filed, Burunsuzyan and the rapper talked on the phone but he quickly hung up, per The Blast. The conversation then moved to text, with the rapper allegedly saying his label, Interscope Records, would pay and that he didn’t “have the money to pay it anyways lol.”
At this point, Burunsuzyan claims she texted the rapper, “Then we are done communicating,” which he replied to with an “oh really?”
Shortly after the conversation, the lawyer said she started receiving calls from people asking to speak to Rich the Kid. The calls came in so rapidly that her phone was rendered “wholly unusable.”
She claims that she then found out that the rapper had tweeted out her number, along with the message, “Valentines call me.” The tweet has reportedly since been deleted.
Burunsuzyan is seeking unspecified damages.
A rep for Rich the Kid did not respond to a request for comment.
